One directory, four countries
The same method in every country: every named gym, studio and club taken from OpenStreetMap, placed by its own coordinates, and published with the gaps admitted. No club pays to appear in any edition, because there is no ranking to buy.
Sideline NZ
Every gym, yoga studio, running, rugby, cricket, netball, football, boxing and MMA club in New Zealand, from open data.
Sideline AU
Gyms, CrossFit boxes, yoga studios and AFL, cricket, rugby, netball and soccer clubs across every Australian state, from open data.
Sideline CA
Gyms, yoga studios, hockey rinks, curling clubs and martial arts schools across all thirteen Canadian provinces and territories, from open data.
Sideline US (you are here)
Gyms, CrossFit boxes, yoga studios, boxing and MMA gyms and sports clubs in all fifty states, compiled from open data with no paid placement.
Sideline Pacific
Gyms, clubs and sports grounds across Fiji, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Tonga and the wider Pacific, compiled from open data.
And a fifth country
India has its own edition under its own name, because gym-finding there is a different problem — the question people ask first is what it costs, so that site publishes researched city fee ranges as well as locations.
GymFinder
Gyms in 200+ Indian cities with researched fee ranges — compiled from open data, never paid placement.
All of these are built and maintained by one person, funded by advertising, and published with their working shown. Corrections go to the contact page; the data sources are listed on each site's method page.
